Dinny Skaff is an experienced litigator who primarily represents individuals, corporations, self-insureds, insurance companies and their insureds in cases involving general liability, premises liability, products liability, subrogation and other matters in federal and state courts across Virginia. He has a particular emphasis in representing “retail and hospitality” companies and corporations in “premises liability” litigation to include slip/trip/fall incidents, loss prevention and security issues, third-party assaults and other related claims.
Dinny also represents individuals in family law matters to include divorce, custody and support issues. He is trained in Collaborative Practice, a way of resolving divorce, and other similar, disputes outside of the courtroom. Dinny is AV-Rated by Martindale Hubbell and is regularly named “Legal Elite” by Virginia Business Magazine and included in The Best Lawyers in America. He is a graduate of West Virginia University (1989), Slippery Rock University (1991) and The University of Virginia School of Law (1996). He was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 1996.
Dinny is a member of, and has served in leadership roles in, many national, state and local professional organizations to include the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys, Roanoke Bar Association, Virginia Bar Association and Defense Research Institute. He is very active in the Roanoke community, having served on many different types of local boards, including his long-standing position with the Legal Aid Society of Roanoke Valley. He particularly enjoys working as a coach and administrator with various youth sports organizations.
